I've been reading along - I appreciate your writing style and thoughtfulness. I'm in your Dad's generation or older, so this post had me thinking...perhaps there is a version of the Preparation that is useful for older adults, who have been on the traditional path of college and career, but are now thinking of their life beyond "working years", looking for a way to be useful, make friends around the world, etc. I'm going to spend some time on this. Thank you!

I know others our age that have taken the concepts and even a few specific cycles to build their own version of the program. I think it's a great idea.

Keep up the good work Maxim! Love the book Doug Casey your Father and You Yes the posts are informative entertaining and educational The Forum is a great idea and helping people is to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Himself Wish the book would have been written fifty years ago when I could have benefited more from it Take care and God’s blessings

Kudos kid always invest in yourself so you can be 100% vertical totally self sufficient because no one is coming for you. My grandson is on the same path with one exception, from my own experience i know government sucks but i want him to get into frontline specops operator as the training is forever if you take ownership of your health stay in shape keep away from booze and drugs. Your life will be yours.

Of course I love this idea! I’m always trying to get more details out of the other Preppers to glean valuable insights to help guide my son and, in a few years, my daughter, through their own Preparations. Maybe you should call this cycle “Service”?

I am watching, admiring, and cheering you on, Maxim. Keep going.

I admire your ‘service’ focus. Reading Harry Browne’s ‘’How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World’’, I was struck by his simple question of asking others “What do you need today more than anything else?” That can lead to unique work and people otherwise not experienced. I got the impression over the years that Doug thought well of Browne, don’t know if they were friends. I’d recommend his book to you, think you’d find much would resonate with your journey.

Doug knew Harry well and they were friends.

I am an older gal, as well, and it is refreshing to watch and listen to all of this. I wish my son had owned this book when he was growing up! The idea of helping someone on the path is a good one. You are very blessed to have folks along the way to guide you, and now you can help others appreciate what you have learned. Stay well, Max!

That’s a great idea! I bought your book for my 19yr old grandson but I don’t think he has started that journey.
