You are an amazing young man, and do not be so hard on yourself. Your health is the most important thing right now, and please deal with it first. No-one is perfect, and least of all MLK JR. , who was being investigated at the time of his death by the FBI, for his behavior with very young girls. I knew one of the men who was doing the investigation when he was in Los Angeles. We are too quick in this country (US) to look to heroes for fulfillment. We try to placate people, to avoid trouble. Sadly, this individual had a holiday named after him. There is no "finish-line" to learning, Max. You have plenty of time. God Bless!
Very wise insights, Maxim. My mom used to say that life is what happens while you’re making other plans. There’s many great lessons to be learned by these obstacles, like you’ve realized. I love the total absence of any victim mentality. Please consider consulting a professional homeopath to clear that staph. Remember, better out than in. As infections come to the skin, it means they are not being driven deeper into the internal organs. That’s a good thing!
Great interview for you, Maxim....how G E Griffin states how the tragedies in his life have all been huge blessings........hugely motivating and uplifting for all of us.
Thank you for the update. You are learning things at such a young age that many of us didn’t learn until we were in our fifth and sixth decade! And my mom always used to say “ this too shall pass.” of course when I was younger, I wanted it to pass quicker! 😂
Excited for your future. Interesting to hear your take on the heroes of history and history in general as written by the victors. It has taken me to almost 60 years old to be where you seem to be at such a young age with regard to your "enlightenment". So much potential. Proud of you from afar.
I do believe everything that has befallen you was meant to happen. What you are doing is cramming learning into a shortened version of life via The Preparation. You are learning lessons many do not learn until midlife. You are demonstrating great maturity...painful experiences, disappointments can elevate one to a higher education. Opens the mind. Teaches us humility and reverence. This may be the toughest test of your life. You are managing it like a man. A quality life is challenging. Demanding. Rewarding. I believe you will look back on this episode in The Preparation as a gift to you. What you are learning is simply part of living on this planet. Your character is shining through it all. Thinking of you with prayer.
The mentioned FBI tapes are scheduled for release in 2027. I admittedly know nothing on the subject, but a quick search shows that there was an active smear campaign against by by the FBI at the time that this "summary" from the FBI was shared. Looking forward to being able to review the tapes ourselves next year.
PS - I'm listening to the Count of Monte Cristo now. I think you might've mentioned it as an action adventure novel at some point, which made me at least take a look. It's been a very fun, engaging read.
I've had staff 5 times in 3 or so years in training Muay thai and grappling in South East Asia.
One thing that seems to have helped is not using the traditional 99.9% anti bacteria soaps multiple times per day showering, Whether its true or not a training partner of mine told me that this kind of nukes the "good" or "natural" bacteria on your skin and can actually increase likelihood of infections. In the same vain I was told never shower right before training for the same reason. I'd go for a Teatree oil based soap sometimes with charcoal, I know this is used in martial arts specific soap. Can empathise with the struggle for sure, its kind of good to keep in mind you have a glass of resources and once it overflows, negative things happen. So Increased exercise and physical exertion, coupled with travel (additional stress), coupled with humid environments with perhaps not your usual ideal nutrition and routine, sleep perhaps. That resource cup becomes full, overflows from various stressors, and sickness, infections are a far formidable a foe when on diminished resources. Loved the book btw, and will be writing a review on how I am implementing currently portions of it.
Again, spot on about history. I've recently stopped purchasing books about single historical figures for my young boys whom we homeschool. I've realized these people have been elevated for a reason. And put up on these eternal pedestals. I still find history extremely important to study. I'm finding books and research that show all the angles of historical events. For example, dissecting the Holocaust, there is soooo much more to the story. Joan of Arc, a tiny 14 year old girl leading thousands of men into battle, stop and think. That's what I'm teaching them, let's dissect these events and question everything we have been told. The only completely accurate historical book I've ever read is the Bible and what a book to study!
Yes, very spot on about the Boomer Generation. I heard a comedian joke that Boomers love a good commercial. They're easy to sell to. They love to be told what to buy, what to do, what to believe. Your gen is quite amazing. My nephew and niece are your age, and I've noticed ya'll question everything, and have incredible natural intuition. My gen is the coolest though (early Mil gen). We question everything as well, and we were the last to grow up without tech/screens. I'd say we are the least tech-addicted gen for sure. We also got the last of the good music. Now, we did eat the worst food in history (ultra-processed) but we weren't fat because all we had to do for fun was run around outside. There was probably quite a bit of food-dye hyperactivity. Also, our parents were never around. We were pretty feral. But we turned out pretty good in spite of. But 80's babies/90's kids are a different kind of species.
It is not. Though, we highly recommend people do workout consistently. You’re definitely right about 3x5 strength training, but it has its time and place and people should come to it on their own.
Calisthenics and lots of cardio are incredibly important for other periods of time as well. I didn’t see the importance in it until training Muay Thai in Thailand not too long ago. Everything is cardio there. It’s meant to condition the body to fight. Along the way you gain a very different type of physical strength —one which I’d never felt until then.
We don’t like recommending specific things people should do regarding lifestyle since there are too many factors to take into account in other people’s lives.
It all depends on what’s best for the person at that time.

Your mom sounds very wise. Absolutely.
And yes, the absence of a victim mentality. That is one of the more difficult things to achieve, but incredibly important. Life changing actually.
Bravo! This mindset is the seat of your empowerment going forward. This is where the magic happens.

I wanted it to pass really quickly lol

Well I really appreciate that, Marcia. Thank you.

That is true. The FBI was trying to take down MLK…
Glad you’re liking the Count of Monte Cristo. One of the best books ever written!

Unfortunately haven’t had one to practice with in nearly 4 months. Looking forward to getting back to it.
Awesome, sounds exactly like something I could use! Congratulations on publishing the book.
I haven’t been to La Crettina. Where is it?
