Max......looks like an exciting time for you learning about seismic activity. It is all related to mining, oil and gas, and when you find something like this, seize the opportunity! One thing leads to another. It will put you miles out there above any one interested in learning about this. You may just want to did deep on this in the future.

I understand now your dislike of school and studying what you are not interested in, and a lot of students study badly when they are just not interested in the least in what is being taught. Thank you for revealing that fact to us. Not everyone is a great student because they are just plain bored. Stay safe and happy.

Max,

I predict that your IP geophysics work will leave you with a memorable experience. Similar to the IP-geophysics method there was seismic survey used for the same purpose but focused on oil/gas discovery. When I was a few years older than you I worked on a crew in the mountains of Wyoming & Utah. Using helicopters, mules (summer), snow-mobiles (winter), explosives and two miles of cabled sensors; we proceeded in a straight line regardless of the terrain. The result was the discovery of https://main.wsgs.wyo.gov/energy/oil-gas/oil-gas-basins/overthrust-belt

I look forward to hearing about your Nevada experience. (snake-bite kit recommended)

That IP geophysics opportunity sounds intriguing. It sounds like what Nikola Tesla was doing at Colorado Springs, and Long Island, around the year 1900: sending and receiving electrical signals, through the Earth. If your plate has room for yet another book to read, may I suggest a biography of Tesla; my favorite is "Prodigal Genius" by John J. O'Neil. Keep up the good work!

I wish I were a young man/woman so that I could do and learn what you are learning, Max. Are you meeting women in these lines of work/endeavors? Are ladies doing and learning these skills or is it mostly men? You do make it feel like I am right there with you, so please keep up the reporting. And thank you for it.

There are some women in these lines of work/ learning these skills, but not many. I’ve seen more women working in EMS than I have thus far while learning to fly. A fair amount of women are willing to tough it out in the woods for a summer on wildfires I suppose, but not many are flying planes. I can’t imagine there will be many doing the IP geophysics work, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Thank you, Juliana!

Definitely enjoying your continuing thoughtful updates and journeys, Max. Very glad to see the photographs you include in each stack. You definitely have an eye for composition and beautiful light. Case in point, the airplanes lined up on the ground bathed in gorgeous golden light. Keep it going!

I think the willingness to take on new endeavors so quickly is and will be a great benefit to your success. (I know you referred specifically to this awhile ago, a good read)FYI I watched your Dad on Doomer optimism and at the end of the podcast it was obvious you have become someone he greatly respects as an adult, something he is proud to publicly state. It is a gift having someone openly supporting you without interfering with your decisions. Looking forward to more reporting on your journey. Enjoy!

I’m intrigued to see how this whole process works! I’m a homeschooling mom, with kids that are passionate and non conformist and several years behind you. Us like minded parents don’t expect or want our kids to follow the traditional path, so I appreciate you sharing your experience in real time. Keep it up and thank you!

been dying to write these words.

"gigging is life."

never stop bro, even in jail. Promote & live up to the minimum expectation.

You will SHINE!

°Cherishº

P.S. So I'm stretching in jail. This is exercise, this is not allowed inside the dorm/pod.

I got reprimanded.

Thing is, the reprimand drew the attention of most of the 55 other men. Who then saw my toes above the bunk of my cellmate. My toes. So I kicked the door jamb on my out to the exercise yard.

Like what are they going to do, put me in jail? I arrived from Solitary to general population this time. aka Time with my Savior.

Spitting fire like a prophet.

~~kek, they gave me a promotion.

is the new love, _be well._

17 days of the last 2 months in jail. all days served judged innocent.

so there is no record of being judged innocent.

plenty of records arresting me for a variety of felonies.

They are dead set on putting me in the system. The camera failed when they took my picture, had to bring me back for that. The fingerprint machine failed when they took my thumb print. The water failed before my court in person, no shower bro. The T.V. broke & they put in a new one with the camera embedded. Pointed at my bunk. <--this is not pretend, we all talked about the placement. We all then talked about the water in the drinking fountain tastes different, medicated than the sink water. Turns out, it's general information, the drinking fountain is fluoridated & otherwise treated, with overt canisters per week. They turn down the A/C when they want everyone to sleep. Ha. I am a caretaker at night. I was awake when they came in. ON MY FEET.

These words are true & not a curse.

*May God nod to ward thee & thine!*

Maybe it will work, maybe it won't. Luck has a lot to do with "success" in life.

I suggest measuring your "success" by your own standards, and not anyone elses.

If you can measure success by your own standards, what's luck got to do with it?
