My flight touched down at 9pm in Montevideo, Uruguay after 20 hours of travel this past Tuesday. Quite a lot has happened since I was last in Uruguay in April of this year.
I went to a rope rescue course, read quite a few books, completed a motorcycle course, rock climbed for the first time, got the basic wildland firefighter certification, spend 41 total days on two separate fires, sky dived for the first time, became better at BJJ, completed 3 open water scuba dives, met plenty of good people, learned how to pack animals into the backcountry…
I wasn’t always as productive as I could have been, but a lot was accomplished none the less. In addition to that, I garnered some wild stories while being on wildfires and completed 1 full year within The Preparation.
